Institutional Activity
Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo cooperates with public and private institutions to construct a society that is more solid and active.

The firm has been involved with the General Council of the Notaries which was created to adapt the profession of the notary to new information technologies. Javier Cremades, President of the firm is also President of the Observatory.

Jaime Rodríguez Arana, partner and director of administrative law for the firm, is President of the Spanish Institute of Administrative Law.

The firm also collaborates with the City Council of Madrid and the COIT to position Madrid among the most international outstanding centres for companies interested in new technologies.

The firm has assumed the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Spain since 2003. Carlos Moreira, partner of Cremades & Calv-Sotelo and former Ambassador of Brazil in Spain for 2002-2003, is President of the Chamber. Javier Cremades is the Chamber´s Secretary General.

The firm has assumed the Secretary General of the association of minority share-holders of traded companies –AEMEC-, that tries to serve as the forum for representation, meditation and information at the service of those minority share-holders of the companies that are quoted on Spanish stock markets.

Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo has also assumed, since 2003 the Secretary General of the Association of Chinese Companies in Spain, which represent more than 200 Chinese companies that operate in Spain.

The firm does in a constant manner pro bono work for various Embassies and Universities. Furthermore, the office has a pro bono program, for people with little resources, immigrants, and those especially in need.
