Legionnaires' Disease

Legionnaires’ Disease is a serious condition that can be fatal. It is caused by breathing in droplets of water that contain the Legionella bacteria. In its most serious form, the disease can cause pneumonia.

This is only dangerous when traveling in microscopic droplets of water and reaches into the lungs, where it reproduces uncontrollably. Therefore, Legionella outbreaks occur when bacteria colonize cooling towers or other devices which release water droplets floating in the atmosphere.

In Cremades & Calvo -Sotelo as specialists in the area, we have represented victims of numerous outbreaks of legionella, both at national and international level, including those who died from the outbreak of legionella in Calpe Diamond Hotel in January 2012.

We provide expert advice on environmental diseases, as is the case of legionellosis, comprehensively analyzing the viability of the claim and making the necessary steps to claim compensation for the damage caused.
