The establishment within the European Union of an internal market for electricity and natural gas is one of the most ambitious and controversial European policies, aimed at safeguarding two values considered fundamental within the Union: free competition and respect for the environment. To this end, there has recently been extensive legislative activity at all levels. The book is the result of the collaboration of ENDESA and Editorial LA LEY, and it contains several articles, whose authors are experts in the energy and petrochemical sector, and collaborators, in most cases, of the Master in Energy Law organized by the Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo law firm.
